Currently, Highline Rehabilitation and Care Community is seeking a Full Time CENTRAL SUPPLY/STAFFING COORDINATOR at their 135 bed skilled nursing community located in Denver, CO. This position requires an active Certified Nursing Assistant License (CNA)  in the State of Colorado.


The primary responsibility of the CENTRAL SUPPLY/STAFFING COORDINATOR is to ensure adequate and appropriate staffing of the facility nursing department to meet the needs of the residents based on budget, census, assist in providing supplies and equipment in an efficient manner, and as may be directed by facility administration.


Staffing Functions:


  • Complete and communicate monthly nursing schedule coordinating requests to ensure appropriate coverage of units.
  • Managing call-ins or vacancies on the floor for all CNAs, LPNs and RNs
  • Report excess tardiness or absenteeism (following current attendance policy) to Director of Nursing Services.
  • Work with Director of Nursing when scheduling modified work duty employees in accordance with work restrictions and facility policy.
  • Answer employee calls regarding staffing/scheduling functions.
  • May manage resident appointments (scheduling them, finding providers, scheduling/finding transportation, doing insurance verifications as needed, etc.) 
  • Demonstrate a passion for caring as evidenced by interaction with co-workers, residents, families, and visitors.
  • Attend and participate in in-service educational classes.


CS Functions:

  • Ensure all telephone orders are confirmed with a written purchase order.
  • Assist in preparing correspondence and claims concerning damaged merchandise, errors in shipments, etc.
  • Ensure all purchase orders are properly prepared, signed, and submitted.
  • Deliver emergency supplies as directed.
  • Fill requests from departments for routine supplies and equipment.
  • Ensure that supplies and equipment are properly maintained.
  • Check invoices, purchase orders, packing slips, etc with incoming merchandise.
  • Ensure inventory is updated as required, when receiving/issuing supplies and equipment.
  • Make recommendations to the purchasing agent concerning the process of obtaining goods and services.
  • Develop methods for determining quantity of supplies and equipment required.
  • Ensure various departments are properly charged with supplies they have ordered.
  • Organize storage and catalog location of supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain supply and storage rooms in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
  • Notify appropriate department when orders have arrived.
  • Ensure vendors provide appropriate material safety data sheets.
  • Attend and participate in in-service educational classes.
  • Perform all other duties, as assigned.



  • Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education or its equivalent.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
  • Must be a supportive team member.
  • Must be knowledgeable of computer systems, system applications, and other office equipment.
  • Must be able to relate information concerning a resident’s condition.
  • Must be knowledgeable of supply practices, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, and interpret the program goals.
  • Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and willingness to work well with others.
  • Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Must possess a cheerful personality and be able to work harmoniously with other personnel.
  • Must not pose a direct threat to the heath or safety of other individuals in the workplace.
